3.5 Stars - I was hooked on throughout this book but was hoping the end would have packed more of a punch. This was a great story of what lengths a family would go to protect those they love, however, some of it felt a bit cliché. For example, the angst-ridden daughter who acts out to get the attention taken up by her sick brother. All in all, I could relate to the characters and the story was captivating, I would definitely recommend this to others.

Me Before You
Me Before You is quite possibly my favorite book of all time. Heartbreaking and breathtaking at the same time. Lou and Will are anything but your typical couple. Will is a quadriplegic and Louisa his caretaker. The friendship that evolves between the two main characters is unlike any other, motivating each of them to become better people.
Verdict: Buy This One & Read It Again and Again !

The Circle
The Circle is on my best books of 2013 list. Mae Holland takes a job at the all powerful technology company, The Circle. Initially, May's life and job are separate but as the book progresses they become one. I really enjoyed this book and thought it offered a great perspective on companies becoming all powerful. I predicted the final twist buy still enjoyed it immensely!

We Need to Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver
What happens when the son you raised turns out to be an unspeakable monster? What happens when you've seen signs all along but did nothing to stop them? These are the major themes in Lionel Shriver's We Need to Talk About Kevin. Throughout the novel, Kevin continues to exhibit malicious behavior, yet always denies being the culprit behind these acts. This novel is written in letters from Kevin's mother, Eva to her estranged husband, Franklin, in the wake of Kevin committing a massacre at his high school. The letters tell the story of their lives as a family, since before Kevin was born through present day. Unlike Peter, the school shooter in Jodi Picoult's Nineteen Minutes, Kevin is anything but a sympathetic character. This book is a little slow getting started, but packs a huge punch and ends off with a twist I never saw coming!
Verdict: Check this book out from your library but this is not a book you will read and re-read over again, so I would not recommend purchasing.

The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer
Absolutely, my favorite book of 2013, quite possibly my favorite book of all time. The story begins with six teenagers - Jules, the envious one, Ash- the popular wealthy one, Ethan - the animator, Goodman - the unmotivated one, Cathy - the dancer, Jonah - the son of a celebrity- who meet at an arts summer camp, Spirit in the Woods, and continues with their lives and friendship from that point on. A few become intimately connected while others create everlasting friendships. I loved the friendships, the relationships, the drama, the intrigue and most of all, how relatable the story was. One of my favorite aspects of any book is when the author provides multiple perspectives and each character truly has their own voice, something that is extremely well done in the Interestings.
